Aerial images from Landslides have been incorporated into hundreds of university and academic slide collections over the past 25 years. These slides are licensed for academic use such as on campus lectures, research, and limited online uses. The slides sets encompass general areas of study including urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, geography, geology and environmental studies.
While we sell slides individually, we have also grouped aerial images into sets according to topic, with titles such as American Cities, American Urban Parks, or a very popular set on New Urbanism. This last set includes subsets of slides on sprawl patterns, the antecedents to New Urbanism and the work of DPZ. These sets vary in size from twenty to two hundred slides.
Also Available are 440 images on themes common to American metropolitan areas. Alex MacLean contributed the images to MUTATIONS, an international exhibition held in Bordeaux, France, from November 24, 2000 to March 25, 2001. Licensing of these images is now available for different uses.
We are also now offering images from Alex MacLean's latest publication, Designs on the Land, which features exemplary photographs taken across the American lanscape. More than 400 photographs can be purchased by chapter or as an entire collection.
We are currently in the process of digitizing these slides and putting them on the web as thumbnails to preview. Additionally, we are moving in the direction of making our online catalog a dynamic site where librarians and researchers can query our files to find specific slides of interest
